Hannah Fidell & Jason Mantzoukas in studio with Ezra and Jake (wearing the 8 Minute Cape Cod long sleeve)

"Time Crisis, back again. Today Jake and I are joined in the studio by two very special guests - Hannah Fidell, director of The Long Dumb Road, and Jason Mantzoukas, star of The Long Dumb Road. We'll also listen to the greatest hits of 1985 and 2018. Plus, talk about the ASIBU. What is the ASIBU? You already know. Figure it out. And if you don't know, you'll find out real soon, 'cause this is Time Crisis."

Topics

The Crew welcome their guests and discuss the mispronounciation of names and how it invalidates one's identity entirely. Jason Mantzoukas performs a scene from The Long Dumb Road, albeit one which features his co-star, Tony Revolori, much more heavily. Everyone discusses Dick Pics' name change to Richard Pictures and whether or not it was necessary. Ezra expresses his fondness of Jokerman (the font), and the global coffeehouse font family in general, while theorizing that the "Jokerman" character in Bob Dylan's song represents the dichotomy of good and evil; a mixture of both Batman and the Joker. The group goes a little deep on 80s Dylan and his obviously uncomfortable participation in "We Are the World". Ezra discusses the possibilities of future Vampire Weekend merch and how Time Crisis is like a test kitchen of ideas that would be too risky to implement with Vampire Weekend. During the Top Five Ezra and Jake chat the sound of singers' voices in the 80s and the A Star Is Born Universe - the ASIBU.
